New Report on Civil and Political Rights in Ireland

6 June 2022

ICCL has just submitted a report to the UN Human Rights Committee, which will be examining civil and political rights in Ireland from 4-7 July 2022.

We find gaps under the Right to Life, Freedom from Torture & Ill-Treatment, the Right to a Fair Trial and the Right to Privacy, among others.

In the report, which is endorsed by 37 organisations, we make 221 recommendations that government must take in order to meet our human rights obligations.

ICCL will have two representatives in Geneva. Follow our social media and watch out for updates in the media. You can also watch the session and share your response using the #HumanRightsIRL hashtag.
