22 January 2025 - We're hiring a Procedural Rights Fellow. The Bar of Ireland – ICCL Fellowship is seeking applications from barristers with 1-3 years of practice who have a strong interest in justice reform, criminal and constitutional law.
The Procedural Rights Fellow will work with the ICCL team, providing advice and contributing to research, policy and advocacy work. The Fellowship is primarily aimed at criminal practitioners; however exceptions will be made for candidates who demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of constitutional and human rights law.
This Fellowship builds on the long relationship between The Bar of Ireland and ICCL and the mutual interest of both bodies in supporting the rule of law, and strengthening the protection of procedural rights in the Irish criminal justice system. The Fellowship also reflects the Bar’s strong support for the administration of justice, civil liberties and the protection of constitutional and human rights.
Role information
The duration of the Procedural Rights Fellowship is nine months beginning in March 2025.
