ICCL is proud to have been at the forefront of many changes which have advanced equality in Ireland over our history.
We were one of three organisations which fought the succesful marriage equality campaign in 2015. We also formed part of the Together for Yes campaign platform which lead to the repeal of the 8th Amendment and paved the way for legal abortion in Ireland.
We work in solidarity with organisations who represent minority groups, such as LGBTI people, Travellers and Roma, migrants and asylum seekers and those with disabilities. Where possible, we refrain from commenting on these issues in the media and instead put media in touch with representatives from these communities.
