ICCL pays tribute to Martin Naughton

ICCL2016, Archive

The ICCL was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Martin Naughton. Martin was a long-time campaigner for the rights of persons with disabilities. He brought an incomparable wealth of expertise to bear on the development of policies and  practices for persons with disabilities on a national and international level. His commitment to campaigning for the fulfilment of human rights for all groups in society was inspirational. The ICCL was fortunate enough to work with Martin on numerous occasions including most recently during the second examination of Ireland’s Universal Periodic Review. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
