ICCL Annual Evening Event for Legal Practitioners: 9 December 2015

You are invited to join the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) at our Annual Dinner and Lecture for Legal Practitioners on Wednesday, 9 December 2015.

We hope you are able to join us for an evening of excellent food, lively discussion and networking.

Our special guest speaker is Dr. Joanna Goodey, Head of Department in the Freedoms and Justice Department of the European Union Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA). Her areas of expertise include tackling hate crime and trafficking in human beings. From the mid-1990s, Joanna has held lectureships in criminology and criminal justice, first in the Law Faculty at the University of Sheffield and subsequently at the University of Leeds.

She has been a research fellow at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and a consultant to the UN International Narcotics Control Board. She was also a regular study fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg.

The event includes a drinks reception, keynote speech and a three course meal with wine in the private dining area of Fallon & Byrne, Exchequer Street, Dublin 2.

Any surplus proceeds raised will support the Irish Civil Liberties Trust, the registered charity which makes funds available to the ICCL – CHY 11460.
