Know Your Rights is a public information project of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), designed to inform people in clear and accessible language about their rights under various key areas of the law in Ireland.
‘Know Your Rights – A guide for Older People’ is the seventh in the ICCL’s Know Your Rights public information series.The guide provides detailed information on many of the rights and entitlements of older people in relation to autonomy and participation, economic security, heath and wellbeing. The guide has been awarded a Plain English mark by the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA). It was produced by the ICCL with the kind support of the Community Foundation of Ireland. The guide can be downloaded in colour or print-friendly black and white at the below links.
